Connecting Zoom to Payani AI
Payani AI lets you offer meeting booking links to your customers. When you connect your Zoom account, every meeting booked through a Zoom meeting type automatically gets a Zoom meeting created on your account, with the join link included in the confirmation email and calendar invite sent to you and your guest.
How to add (connect) Zoom
- Sign in to Payani AI.
- Go to Meetings, then Settings, then Connections.
- Find Zoom and click Connect.
- You will be sent to Zoom to sign in and authorize Payani AI.
- Approve the requested permission (create a meeting on your behalf).
- You will return to Payani AI and see Zoom listed as connected.
How to use it
- Create or edit a meeting type under Meetings, then Booking links.
- Set the location or meeting method to Zoom.
- Share your booking link with customers.
- When someone books a time, Payani AI creates a Zoom meeting on your account and includes the Zoom join link in the confirmation email and calendar invite for both you and your guest.
What permission Payani AI uses
Payani AI requests permission only to create a meeting on your behalf (the meeting:write scope). Payani AI does not read, list, edit, or delete your existing Zoom meetings. It creates a meeting only when a booking is made through your Payani AI scheduling link. We store only the created meeting's ID and join link for that booking. Your Zoom connection tokens are stored encrypted.
How to remove (disconnect) Zoom
You can disconnect Zoom at any time:
- In Payani AI, go to Meetings, then Settings, then Connections.
- Find Zoom and click Disconnect.
- Payani AI will stop creating Zoom meetings for new bookings.
You can also remove Payani AI from your Zoom account directly:
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace at marketplace.zoom.us.
- Click Manage, then Added Apps.
- Find Payani AI and click Remove.
